Our data migration archive (DMA) provides a fully DICOM-compliant archive that stores migrated studies in a format that will not require customers to re-migrate data. When Acuo is contracted to perform the migration, there is an option to include a vendor neutral data migration archive to store migrated studies in a fully DICOM-compliant format.

Many customers prefer to "pre-migrate" their legacy archives one to two years before they plan to replace them. This strategy enables them to pay for the migration only once but enables the shutdown of the legacy system shortly after the new system is operational. The DMA can act as the migration archive for one PACS while being the primary archive for cardiology or other department. The DMA can also be converted to the primary archive at some point in the future, such as when the new PACS is purchased and installed.
