AcuoMED is a peer-aware, federated framework for DICOM integrated systems, providing the unlimited scalability and inherent flexibility required to meet the evolving requirements of a long-term image archive. AcuoMED's primary functionality includes:
- Integrates all existing DICOM entities (PACS, modalities, other archives)
- Interfaces with all DICOM 3.0 compatible equipment. Supports DICOM structured reports and any available DICOM storage SOP class
- Sophisticated image routing and retrieval requirements through batch store management and selectable compression
- DICOM tag routing – content aware router dynamically caches, queues with priority, compresses and encrypts data through an automatic yet tightly controlled batch interface to trigger efficient packet movement to in-network storage
- Effectively manages image transfer bottlenecks associated with movement of large sets of images (multi-slice CT) and large data sets (digital mammography)
- Peer-awareness through enterprise DICOM aggregation converts point-to-point DICOM into point-to-multipoint functionality, enabling a network of peer-aware nodes
- Secure and HIPAA-compliant – easy to access/easy to understand comprehensive audit reporting for any individual image in the system
- Data synchronization features automate and streamline the process of updating data for all relevant entities within disparate systems
- Duplicates processing functionality – retain multiple versions of the same image through content-based mechanism or intelligently keep only relevant versions while maintaining a full journal of changes within each self-describing image
- Integrated data migration capabilities included with Acuo's Data Migration (ADAM) components
- Centralized control of all deployed nodes, either within a data center or across a highly distributed enterprise
