Automated policies for the management of data across multiple media with different price/performance characteristics

UCP³ provides patented native information lifecycle management (ILM) capabilities, including the tiering of data, using the federated database model. Separate ILM policies can be defined for each user data base, corresponding to geographic sites, functional departments, or even physical storage levels. UCP³ also enhances storage systems with ILM capabilities through API integration, providing clinical metadata to the storage systems, enabling policies to be developed based on clinical data, rather than only file systems data. Policies can be defined on patient DOB, study date, modality type, institution ID or any combination of file system and DICOM metadata.

Automated policies for the retention and purge of archived objects

With the federated database model, each department or organizational node is mapped to a distinct database, which can have individual policies for ILM. Policies for retention/purge can be developed on clinical meta data, file system information, or a combination of both.

Support for advanced storage platforms through API integration

UCP³ natively integrates with most advanced storage devices and can add more as market and customer conditions demand.
