Computing hardware/OS constraints and capabilities for virtualization
UCP3 can run on any hardware platform capable of supporting Windows 2008 Server and SQL Server 2008, including virtualized environments.
Degree of commitment to supporting DICOM SOPs and ability to add new SOPs
UCP3 supports all common imaging SOPs, and can readily add newly defined SOPs through a simple certification process, including private SOP classes supported by varying modality vendors.
Conformance to IHE profiles
Acuo supports IHE principles of integrating industry standards (DICOM, HL7) and conforms to mutiple IHE profiles for imaging and security, including XDS-I and XDS.b.
Acuo has demonstrated XDS connectivity at IHE-sponsored connectathons and has launched a fully-compliant XDS software solution (XDS-i, Repository, Registry, and Consumer).
Level of control and ability to access archive databases and information
UCP3 enables and encourages access to all data in the grid, and provides the database schema to customers. Acuo trains customers on configuration and administration of databases, including developing SQL reports for archive analysis. Further, Acuo supports the OpenData Protocol (OData), for open, real-time access to authenicated users or systems for rich VNA meta data for data mining applications.
Interfaces
As a standards-based archive, UCP3 can interface with any DICOM based application. Through the power of UCP3's integration capabilities customers often interface new devices on their own without involvement of Acuo's service team (control is in the hands of the customer). Acuo has demonstrated data migration and archive (actually replacing the active archive of the PACS, not just a DR solution) integration to every radiology and cardiology PACS today.
