Capabilities for automated real-time routing of studies.

UCP3 has a sophisticated routing and tag mapping capabilities, which leverage the federated database model. Routes can be defined to any DICOM entity (internal or external), and be based upon any combination of DICOM tags. Multiple simultaneous routes can be defined, with compression or encryption enabled/disabled based on the destination's requirements.

Prefetch/postfetch capabilities for locating, filtering for relevancy and sending archived studies prior to exam date.

UCPcan prefetch based on inbound HL7 messages, with configurable options applied to a specific database or enabled globally. This ability provides the granularity for unique departmental workflow, yet provide a unified, global archive. Configuration options include the number of days prior to a scheduled exam to prefetch, the priority for the prefetch move operation, and the time period to search the archive.

UCP3 also has ability to prefetch by matching on body part or study description, and integrate one or more XML synonym lists for alternative body parts or descriptions.

UCP3 also provides "post fetching" which triggers a search for associated studies of a patient based on a C-Store of a patient study.

Ability to reconcile inbound study metadata with corresponding information from upstream HIS/RIS systems.

UCP3 reconciles inbound studies with one or more HL7 sources from HIS/RIS or ordering system. Reconciliation can be managed by database so that specific departments can be intentionally included/excluded from reconciliation with HIS/RIS data.

UCP3 can also reconcile with a DICOM modality worklist feed.
