Acuo Technologies was founded in January 2000 by a group of experienced software engineers with visionary ideas for new data archiving and storage system management. This core team continues to lead Acuo's research and development initiatives and the production of our company's innovative products.

LARRY SITKA, Founder Larry Sitka is a co-architect and lead software engineer for AcuoMed, ADAM, ARPS products. He designed software for two software startup companies, NetShadow, Inc., and StoreItOnline, Inc., immediately prior to starting Acuo as a founder. Mr. Sitka has been a software development specialist for Imation Corporation/3M Medical Imaging Division and a network administrator and senior software engineer for AT&T Global Information Systems (NCR Networks Products Division) from 1985-1992. Mr. Sitka holds two U.S. patents: US 6,349,373 (Digital image management system having method for managing images according to groups) and US 6,330,572 (Hierarchical data storage management). He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from University of Wisconsin at Madison and a Master of Science in Computer Science from the National Technological University School of Engineering and Applied Science. |

PIERRE GENDRON, Co-Founder and Lead Software Engineer Pierre Gendron is co-architect and lead software engineer for DICOM related components of Acuo's products. Before joining Acuo as a founder, Mr. Gendron was the Lead Engineer for a medical transport and storage system at NetCo Communications (WAM!NET). He has worked in the development and support of networking products for over 20 years. Mr. Gendron served in the U.S. Air Force, stationed at NORAD in Cheyenne Mountain (Colorado). There he developed and supporting space tracking software. Mr. Gendron earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science at the University of Minnesota and a Masters of Science degree in Computer Science from the National Technological University School of Engineering and Applied Science. |

DALE P. KINGSBURY, Co-Founder and Lead Software Engineer Dale Kingsbury is co-architect and lead programmer for AcuoMed. He was a principal at the Software Group, a Saint Paul software consulting firm specializing in Windows NT and UNIX development prior to joining Acuo as a founder. Mr. Kingsbury spent 30 years with the 3M Company working as an engineer and manager. At 3M, he was responsible for building computer systems for both internal use and resale, including factory process control systems, storage systems for Microsoft Office® documents, and PACS storage systems for 3M's Medical Systems Division. Mr. Kingsbury has served as a member of the NEMA DICOM Media Storage Committee. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Minnesota. |

JEFFFREY A. ROMATOSKI, Co-Founder and Lead Software Engineer Jeff Romatoski is co-architect and lead programmer for AcuoMed. Prior to joining Acuo as a founder, he spent eight years as an independent consultant specializing in Windows NT. Mr. Romatoski has designed and implemented a variety of NT-based solutions, including plug-and-play Windows NT driver support for a variety of communications network cards, a Web-based graphics storage and retrieval system, a Windows NT firewall, a Windows NT-based in-flight fault collection system for airplanes, and an optical file system for Windows NT. His career spans 26 years as a data communications system consultant, software engineer and product leader. Mr. Romatoski has held various technical management and project leadership roles at NCR, AT&T, and Comten Communications. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems from the University of Wisconsin at Eau Claire and a Masters of Science degree in Computer Science with emphasis on algorithms for data communications and graphics from the National Technological University School of Engineering and Applied Science. |
